How We Worked as a Team

Our production was a success, and our team work was brilliant. During the course of the project there were no fall outs or major arguments, only constructive discussions. I was in team with Bea Brown, Ryan Weir and Katie Tangl, and we used each other's strengths to the project's advantage. The assigned roles are listed below:

Editing was shared between myself and Ryan, which went extremely well - producing fantastic final production, including complex graphics and effects to enhance the film, for a particular impact on the audience.


As an actor my performance was tailored to the requests and briefs from our director. My role was to abide by what she has said to help make the production not only a success, but a film that matches or exceeds the expectation and vision given by Beatrice. As a whole I believe in my capacity of an actor that I did well, and aided the formation of a good film, by listening, staying focused and being proactive about the task.


During editing, both Ryan and I inputted different aspects towards the arrangement and composition of the final sequence. I personally mainly moved, cut, and transformed the rushes into the order set out by Beatrice. I was also responsible for making sure that the music worked well in the film, especially during the fast cuts between multiple sound tracks. Our main music clip was called 'Movement Proposition' and is Royalty free, and we felt it accompanied and brought out the action / tense feeling of the piece well.


On the shoot day, everything went smoothly. As said there were no arguments, and everyone listened to everyone else's ideas as well as following decisions made by the director. In fact, the shoot went that well, we were able to spend extra time re-filming old shots that Katie, our camera operator, had previously stated were inadequate or could have been improved. Furthermore, in addition to that, we had enough time after re-filming. to shoot extra shots to exaggerate themes and effects to enhance the final film.


Beatrice and Katie also created a presentation for the class to explain to them how organised and successful our shoot, pre and post production went.
