ABR Productions
Pre-production went well, I feel our planning and preparation skills do not lack in detail or in effort. We all gave great input towards the preliminary documentation and further creative aspects.
The storyboard was drawn and written out thoroughly by our director Beatrice, and her work is shown in Storyboard draft 1.
Ryan wrote our character profiles, outlining the characteristics, behaviours and possible history of the featured protagonists as well as the ending mystery character.
During pre-production, my role was to write the script; so taking on board the discussions and ideas, plus all the things we wished to include in the dialogue and actions, I formed the basis of the script. Script draft 1 is solely the text I produced, however now reading back I can see it's many flaws. Upon completing this in Celtx, which I downloaded to my home computer, I presented it to the group and we all sat down to edit and make changes, to improve it best we can. Indeed I felt it did get better, and every time we had an idea or change of mind, I would edit and resend it to the group via a Facebook message which we used as the major communication channel outside of school. As well as doing this, I also designed a brand logo for ABR Productions including the document header template that you see the documentation uploaded on. Once the team had completed a task or sub-project they would send it to me and I would put it into the header and resend it out again to everyone.
So generally I'm pleased with the productivity of the group, and happy to be working alongside them, plus there have been no disagreements so far. As a team our pre-production was on time and the work quantity was completed equally by each member.
